The Royal George Hotel is a landmark public house on historic Piper Street, Kyneton.  The essence of what we do at The George is unchanged after more than 150 years of trading, but today we deliver a “Country Experience” in a new and exciting way. The George offers traditional hospitality in an environment which is warm, genial and social.

Restaurant, Bar & Bistro

The intimate eating and drinking spaces are the heartbeat of The George. For special occasion Fine Dining we offer the Restaurant rooms with crisp linen, Riedel Stemwear and flatwear. For day to day dining we offer the Bistro/wine rooms and the bar.

For local wine tasting or a leisurely cocktail or a post dinner cognac try the atmospheric bar. The bar and bistro is where the casual meal reigns supreme and patrons are welcome to drop by for a beer or settle in by the fire.

The kitchen uses locally grown seasonal produce served with generosity of spirit in both flavour and portions.
